What do you consider large items?
How should I price my items?
Generally speaking, medium to large items in excellent condition can fetch 30-50% of the retail price. Small items and clothing do get less, 10-20% of the retail price. With clothes it is better to price low and sell large amounts rather than price individual items high. There will be several friendly staff present on the day to give you advice and help if you need it.
How big is my stall?
Your stall comprises a 1.8m x 0.7m table and a table covering, space for a 1m clothes rail, space in front of your 1.8m stall for small to medium items (but not protruding more than 50cms) and space for 4 items in the Large Items Arena (a full travel system will count as 2 large items). Once large items are sold and removed you may replenish them in the Arena. It’s really important that your items keep within the boundaries of your stall to keep the aisles clear so that shoppers can see your items clearly. If things are too large or are spilling into the aisles we will ask you to remove them until you have sold items and made space.
Do I need to bring a rail?
Yes, we ONLY provide the space for ONE. They can bought fairly cheaply but if not a clothes horse would work to hang clothes on hangers.
What if I have large items that won’t fit in my car?
You could bring a photo and a brief description and either place it on your stall or put the photo up in the Large Items Arena.
What are the parking facilities like for unloading?
All our venues are large and so there will be plenty of space to unload before shoppers arrive.
What time should I arrive to set up my stall?
About an hour before the scheduled start time please. This is to ensure that you are fully set up and ready to start selling at least 10 minutes before opening time.
Should I accept cheques if shoppers do not have cash?
That is your call!
What if I don’t have enough items to fill a stall?
Simple, find a friend and share a stall!
